Mayfield Fund Leads Three
Direct Investments in China Partners with China-Focused GSR
Ventures

Menlo Park, CA -- Mayfield Fund today announced that it
had led investments in three China-based information
technology companies. The investments are the first
results of Mayfield¡¯s strategic partnership with GSR
Ventures, a China focused, early-stage venture firm.
The new portfolio
companies are SMIT; a fabless semiconductor
manufacturer of
modules for digital televisions based in Shenzen;
Mobert,a manufacturer of semiconductors for mobile
applications based in Silicon Valley and Shanghai; and
Heiyou, an online matchmaking company based in Beijing.
The exact amounts of the investments were not disclosed.
